Asus Sbw 06d2x U Not Detected

  1. There is a lot of discs I can't play with my Asus SBC-06D2X-U in windows eight.1 professional.

I take 2 of the, each connected to a Intel NUC so I don't particulary want to but two new ones.
    I can't observe a RCP 1 firmware for them.

Will in that location be a RPC 2 fix in AnyDVD/AnyDVD HD? I payed coin for this program and when I did so there was no mention nearly this problem.

    Does anyone take a solution?

  2. A lot out discs, which ones I don't see any logfile for defective discs. Anydvd doesn't do RPC fixes. It stimulates a real bulldoze a real drive. RPC is irrelevant. it decrypts.

  3. Do you hateful which discs Im having bug with? There are to many to list.
Despicable me 2 on DVD is i example. Anydvd informs me that it can't read it because of it beingness in RPC 2. A lot of newer disc are like that. The Hobbit is some other example.
  4. First, this is strictly a DVD effect; BD region coding is purely software-based. Thus, it belongs in the regular AnyDVD forum.

Second, what's the brand of your drives (*Non* your PC or motherboard)? Ordinarily RPC1/RPC2 does not bear on AnyDVD, but Matshita/Panasonic drives are an exception. Please read #15 (2nd post) of this thread for details.

Finally, if your drives aren't Matshita/Panasonic, have y'all fix the drives' region? Many drives volition non work properly with DVDs without this one-time setting. Instructions to do this are in #13 (offset post) in the FAQ thread linked above.

If y'all're not sure how to respond these questions, then for each bulldoze please (a) insert an original DVD (but one will do), (b) generate a logfile (instructions at #5 in this thread), and (c) mail service information technology hither. It may aid if you mail those logfiles anyway.

  5. No logfile, no fix. But sounds similar the anydvd popup window with 5 reasons of possible failure to decrypt. Need that logfile to confirm. Yous can't expect a ready to your trouble if y'all reject to provide the info file to give y'all the gear up.

  6. Kickoff, Im lamentable if I posted in the wrong forum.

Second, the brand is in my title: Asus SBC-06D2X-U (Thats an external DVD/Bluray histrion)

Finally, yes I have fix my region

  7. Well hopefully someone thats not so full of it will exist able to assist me. I'm non refusing to provide annihilation, I just get an error that the disc can't be read because it's an RPC 2 disc. Information technology suggest I clean it or try to find a RPC 1 firmware for my player, which does not exist.
Are you ever this rude or did I do something to you?
  8. External drives are just internal drives in special housings; it'southward who made the internal drive that counts. Please insert a DVD (simply one will practise), generate a logfile (again, see this thread for instructions), and mail it here. (It'll also ostend whether or non you actually ready its region.)
  9. He's non trying to be rude; he's just a little more straight than I am about asking for logfiles. (They're requested in the "read earlier y'all post" stickies of both forums.)

Edit: RPC2 is almost the drive, NOT the disc itself; it simply means the internal drive's firmware contains a region lock. As yous've described your message so far, it suggests the bulldoze inside the Asus case may be Matshita/Panasonic.

  10. The manufacturer of the drive inside is also ASUS.

Anyway, I solved information technology myself. I needed to install the latest USB 3 drivers on my NUC and now eveything works like a charm.
So on this case information technology was something totally unrelated, funny manner of reacting from AnyDVD though. I judge that when it gets confused it runs home to mama, in this case the RPC2 mistake bulletin.

  11. I'thousand not full of anything. I was thinking virtually unset region simply that cannot be confirmed without the anydvd logfile of at to the lowest degree one disc that didn't work. I don't like to make a definite claim of the cause without at least something of info to proceed. That's why I asked for the logfile. Patently and unproblematic.

  12. More than than likely the USB 3 drivers were interfering with the commands from AnyDVD to the drive and/or the bulldoze'due south responses in a manner that AnyDVD couldn't figure out, and so it threw upwardly that error message. Every bit Ch3vr0n said earlier, RPC2 is just one of 5 unlike possibilities in that bulletin; it'southward not the only possible cause, and if the drive isn't Matshita/Panasonic information technology's not the near likely cause. Anyway, glad to hear information technology'due south working for you now.

ASUS doesn't manufacture optical drives. Delight post an AnyDVD logfile from one of the failing discs.

Are we talking about Blu-rays or DVDs? (This is the Blu-ray forum, but I'll yet dare ask ;-) )

What are y'all trying to tell usa?
  16. He's suggesting ASUS may have actually made the internal laptop-style drive inside that housing, as the OP indicated when I asked him indicate-blank almost it. ASUS does brand more of its own stuff now than it used to, though I'm notwithstanding not 100% sure without a logfile.
  17. James is indeed correct. Asus does NOT manufacture the optical part of the bulldoze. I called Asus tech Back up to attempt to notice out, after excavation deep the tech said they exercise not make the eyes for the drive, but could not find out where they are outsourced from. He was very surprised of the results of his investigating. They may make the boards, only he could also detect no firmware support for this production. So they could exist Matshita/Panasonic optics, simply you'll never know unless the OP gives up the log file.
  18. I initially suggested that myself, but the OP insisted it was ASUS internals besides as example. Which leads us dorsum to: Logfile, logfile, logfile... :bang::bang::bang:
